How Earthing Works
The earth's surface carries a subtle, constant negative electrical charge. Earthing (or grounding) is the practice of connecting your body to that charge, historically through direct skin contact with the ground — walking barefoot on grass, sand, or soil.
Modern life keeps most of us insulated from that contact most of the time: shoes, floors, and buildings all separate us from the earth's surface. Earthing products aim to restore that connection indoors, using a conductive material connected to a grounded point (usually the earth pin of a wall outlet, or a grounding rod).
Research on earthing is still an emerging field. Some small studies suggest possible effects on sleep, inflammation markers, and stress, but the evidence base is limited and not yet considered conclusive by mainstream medicine. We think of Groundeer as a way to build a grounding ritual into your day — not as a medical treatment or a replacement for professional healthcare advice.
